Acer Swift 3 SF315-41 Hard Disk 100% Usage on Windows 10 and Broken

Pardon me if my post is a long one. I hope someone would share their expertise and suggestions to this problem.
My Acer Swift 3 SF315-41 which uses Ryzen 5 2500U has problem on SATA hard drive and I have replaced it twice from my local service center.
This model sells in my country with 128GB SSD (M2 it seems) + 1 TB SATA HDD with no OS, so I installed Windows 10 Home edition to my SSD.
I have been using this laptop since March 2018, then around June 2018 I found out that sometimes my laptop slows down and lag.
The task manager shows 100% usage on the HDD (not SSD) but no read/write operation is being performed. This makes my laptop sometimes freezes and I need to force shutdown.
The HDD gradually becomes worse, sometimes it is not detected on BIOS but after power cycle or restart it is detected again. Even copying file into it is slower than before.
Eventually the HDD died and not detected anymore on BIOS.
I have visited my local service center and have been replaced it twice. Currently I am on my second replacement and it works only for one or two days and the problem of 100% usage and gradually not detected happens again.

So I have been doing this:
I trace back my usage and installation. If I remember correctly, this problem arises after I upgrade my Windows 10 to 1803 build.
The first time I got this laptop I installed Windows 10 1709 or before.
After my upgrade from 1709 to 1803 I never go back to 1709. When I encountered the problem, I perform a clean install of 1803.
However since right now the HDD is not in good condition I am hesitate to test going back to 1709.
My current system now is on Windows 10 1803 with BIOS v2.03. All drivers are up to date 2018/03/20 from Acer official website.

First check the health of your hd with the crystaldiskinfo! If it is blue then it means the hd is in good health!There is a video in Portuguese that can help you solve your problem! The tips start from the sixth minute! With every tip you make, you should restart the notebook and if it does not work, do the next tip! If the tip caused 100% disk usage to be resolved, you do not have to continue!

Thank you for your help. I can't test further since the HDD shows sign of broken again.
Sometimes it is detected by BIOS sometimes not, need to restart or shutdown several times to get it detected.
I have to disable my SATA port 1 from BIOS which is where this HDD connected because at bootup windows always tries to check disk and repair this HDD and makes my booting slow.
I have bought a WD green SSD and will try to replace it and see if the problem still persist.0 -

Hi @egydiocoelho, so far using for about 5 days or more has been good. No 100% problem for me so far. Thanks for your help, just curious about how Win 10 somehow not compatible with HDD. Although some of complains on the internet also happens for SSD but fortunately so far my system is stable.

Hello @egydiocoelho sorry for late reply, I have used for around two weeks and no problem at all with my SSD. The 1 TB HDD is now being used as external HDD, I bought an external enclosure with USB 3.0 interface and so far has no problem using this HDD as external.
I have a suspicion that it might be the SATA cable, when replacing the HDD with SSD SATA the cable might be plugged-in better by the technician at service center. Who knows since I cannot open-up the back cover as it will void my warranty, I just saw him replacing my HDD with new SSD SATA and he tape the SATA cable for better, might not be the concrete solution but I'm happy it works so far.
I don't have other laptop or computer to test the HDD, only as external with the enclosure.
I will check this thread as solved, yeah this might not have a concrete answer but thank you very much for your help so far 0 -
Luckily it somehow managed to solve the problem of HD at 100%! However, I still think this is not in hardware, but in 1803 version of windows 10!
One tip: enable ssd trim and disable quick boot as this will preserve ssd's life!

This is happening to me at this moment, my laptop after a year of use, now shows 100% HDD use and is freezing .. it has been freezing for three consecutive days, I have to forcibly turn it off because the pointer does not respond, ACER swift 3 SF315-52 is the model.
