Acer Nitro 5 an515-42 blue tint appears when games go full screen.

So whenever I start games like World of Warcraft, Borderlands 2 or Battlefield 4 the screen gets this blue tint on it. If I alt+tab to desktop the colors are normal. If I change the ingame resolution to something else than native or windowed the colors will normalize, but then the desktop will get the blue tint. Also if I change the volume or brightness and the windows volume bar appears, the colors are normal for the time the volume bar is out.

I have tried installing all the drivers again from the acer website for this laptop and fiddling with windows settings like game mode etc. According to google this could be because of windows or drivers. Unfortunately Acer has only one set of video drivers for this laptop.

Yes it has always done this. I got this laptop a month ago.

OK. Try this link to auto detect & install the latest discrete generic Win10 driver. https://support.amd.com/en-us/download Jack E/NJ

Yeah autodetect just says that the newest drivers are already installed. I have also tried other driver versions from the amd site, but those didn't really work. The one version I was able to install didn't even recognize the gpu on my laptop correctly.

Can't remember but I resolved this issue by installing a fresh windows install. All of my problems have gone away and the laptop feels quicker too in the OS. I'm now using the drivers that windows got automatically. According to the device manager that driver is 23.20.826.3072 for the rx 560x and its dated 16.6.2018. It's sad that it's still true that you have to install a fresh Windows whenever you get a new laptop. Companies like Acer preinstall too much **** on the laptops.

I installed the generic and clean windows 10.

i recall having a similar issue with a graphics intensive image editing/manipulating software. When the software was loaded, the desktop hue changed and affected hues in some but not all other programs that were loaded at the same time. If I adjusted graphics settings that make the desktop and other programs look OK, the editing software wouldn't look or even edit properly. It was more annoying than disabling because it didn't impede my work when switching to other programs though their hues weren't quite right. I lived with it.

Since you got this in July, it's probably too late to return it to the vendor for a refund. And ACER warranty service will likely just return the system to factory-fresh Win10 which you said had the same issue. If it were mine, I'd try to live with the annoyance, work around it for now, and hope a future Win10 update or ACER graphics adapter update will get rid of it.
