Hello all,
I have this issue which started a couple of days ago.
My external monitor - AOC e2341Fh- shows a shade of pink on application that are displayed on it.
My laptop monitor itself has no such issue.
My laptop is Acer Aspire,  V17 nitro- black edition.
I have updated both my Intel graphic drive and the nvidia driver.
I have tested the monitor with other laptop and it works fine,
I have changed the HDMI cable as well and no difference.

Any have any suggestion as why this is happening?

I believe it is on. Since the standby light is on. I just hope it was a bug that was fixed by itself.

What happens to the monitor's hue if you slightly withdraw/insert (that is, in slightly in/out manner) the HDMI plug in the HDMI port? Jack E/NJ

It just disconnect. There is no middle for it for me to have it only slightly in or out.
What I noticed it that this is worse when using Chrome

OK. Copy this white image JPG file in this link onto your desktop.
    https://www.google.com/search?q="white+image+background+jpg"&client=firefox-b-1-ab&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiVu6fVv8ncAhVQjlkKHVuWC3QQ_AUICigB&biw=1252&bih=576#imgrc=vBiIh22JP61nuM:

Then open the JPG with Paint or some other imaging program on your machine. Does the white image JPG displayed by Paint still seem more pinkish on the monitor than on the laptop screen?

Means that nothing's wrong with any of your hardware. It's mainly due to slight differences in how different screens (laptop screen, monitor screen or TV screen) render color output from browser or imaging software. Generally, Microsoft browsers and imaging apps, such as Internet Explorer, Edge, Paint, will probably do a better rendering job under the Windows 10 operating system than, say the Chrome or Firefox browsers which probably work well under a Chromebook or Linux operating system. Depending on your monitor or TV, there may be some adjustments that can made to correct for these differences.  Jack E/NJ

[1] Tell me the links where you're seeing this pinkish hue. [2] Also tell me which browser you're using. [3] Also open Control Panel, search "restore point" and then tell me the datestamps of the restore points that you find.  Jack E/NJ

1- check my first post, I have put two screenshots, one is the monitor, the other one is my laptop screen, i used snipping tool, so the color is not as pink as i see it here and my laptop screen is not as blue as it shows.

2- Chrome, issue is only on chrome, but i cant change from it, since i am using most of Google tools that comes with it

3- I am not sure if windows 10, has a restore point like windows 7. Or its not easy to find it, this is the best I could find

At this point, I am thinking of reinstalling my widows, which is going to be very painful.

Yes, it seems due to a chrome rendering difference. And IMO it does not, a priori, seem to be a momentous issue that warrants the pain involved in what you're contemplating. it seems more like an annoyance. If you disagree, please explain why using the google tools that come with the chrome browser makes re-setting the machine to a factory-fresh Win10 state even worth trying. Jack E/NJ

Strangely its fixed now. I don't know how.
But, I use google drive, google calendar, google sheets and doc on hourly bases.
If I am going to used them on the desktop versions, it will be quite difficult.
Anyhow, thank you for the time you put in.

Do you know if either a chrome browser update or Win10 update was recently applied that could explain this? This might be useful information for others who may run into this issue. Jack E/NJ

Unfortunately not that I know of.
I checked the windows update setting and it was last updated before this issue started and no update after that.
As for Chrome, the last update they added was about 7 days ago, so my issue was resolved about 3 days after that, based on what I see on their update, it did not have anything to do with display issue.

OK, thanks @Nasha260 . Is it possible the pink issue was resolved by cold booting the system with the monitor already connected & turned on? Jack E/NJ

I don't think so. The monitor has always been connected to my laptop as i use it stationary. It might just have been the windows not reading the display output of chrome wrong and after couple of restarts it got it right, LOL

So are you also saying the monitor is always powered on before the laptop is powered on? Jack E/NJ

Yes, but on windows starts, i see the login page on laptop page first and then it goes to the monitor since that is my main display.
Anywhere else I saw this issues was either because of a display driver to the hardware. Mine might be hardware that was not working right and now its working right again if such think is possible.

Yes, I understand that. I just wanted to know if the monitor is turned on before the laptop is turned  on. If it's the other way around, there might be monitor detection issues for not only Windows but the BIOS firmware as well. Accordingly, I think it's important that the monitor always be on before you try to turn the laptop on. Jack E/NJ
