Camera not working on Acer Iconia Tab A200

in 2014 Archives

I don't usually use the camera, but when I tried to Skype my son, I found it wasn't working.  It has worked in the past.  How can I fix this?

    Does the camera work at all, if you use the Camera App?

     

    Is the only problem when you try it with Skype?

     

    Have you tried other video chat programs?

    I tried using my barcode scanner it doesn't work, I emailed the app creator and he said the problem is the driver on the tablet for the camera. So maybe if there is a way to delete and reinstall that driver it might cure your problem and mine. I hate calling Acer Tech level 1 because there answer is always do a complete restore.

    Hi guys,

     

    Have you found a way to solve this issue when the camera. I think I need to reinstall the driver because in my case whenever I clic on Camera/Camcorder app the tab hangs for some seconds and then reboot.

     

    Any ideas will be appreciated.
