If you're going to prevent a laptop being able to use normal Windows drivers from WU or the manufacturers website, then you need to make sure they are kept up to date.

On the Swift 3 Ryzen 5, the newest GPU driver we have is from January (NOT 20th of March, that is the date Acer published a driver which HP published in January).  Night light is broken in it.  3D performance is *****.
The newest audio driver was also published 3 months ago and won't play back properly in Foobar (crackly) after recent recent Windows updates.
The BIOS updates completely broke my previous laptop and I had to return it to the store. Yet they still offer that version (1.04)

So when if ever are we going to get updates?

I have a brand new, decent spec laptop with drivers holding it back.  Rediculous situation.

To stop the error messages that appear when trying to install a generic driver from the manufacturer follow the instructions:

Go to device manager>display adapter and uninstall the amd graphics driver. Restart the PC and windows will automatically download and install the driver. This will enable you to install the latest amd driver from the manufacturer too. Repeat the same process for the other drivers.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.

Thanks buddy, I did this and got it installed.  However the driver unfortunately does not work fully, it runs until the laptop resumes from sleep and then crashes.
