OK this is odd. My Aspire laptop will not boot when the DVD drive is installed. It gets stuck in a reboot cycle. I can't even get into the BIOS..the initial screen displays for a few seconds then it reboots. I purchased a new DVD drive and the same issue exists. Things work fine when I have no DVD drive installed (physically remove it). Any idea what the cause of this could be?

Probably the DVD drive automatically sets as the default boot device. While the device is connected, open BIOS and navigate to the BOOT menu. Once there, check if the device is set as the first or default BOOT device mate.
    BElieve in YOUrself.

    Aspire model is 5733-6424
I will try getting into the bios when it is not connected..when it is, neither F2 for setup or F12 work. They both just beep when I continuously press them when the initial screen appears.
