I reset my router yesterday, and my laptop won't connect to Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi is visible, but when I input the password it won't connect.  This is only a problem for my Acer laptop - my wife's MacBook, her iPhone, and my android phone all connect just fine. Any advice?

If the wifi is visible, there's likely no hardware issue with the laptop. So (1) Why did you re=set your router yesterday? (2) What is your ACER model number? (3) What message do you get when the password fails.

The reset was an accident - router was unplugged during some furniture moving, and then when plugged back in no device could connect to it.  So we did a reset, and 3 of our 4 devices can connect. My Acer model number is Aspire E5-585G, and I get the message "Can't connect to this network" after inputting the correct password.

    Hi @goldfinger77

You can try to do a reset to check if that makes any difference.

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/recovery-options-in-windows-31ce2444-7de3-818c-d626-e3b5a3024da5#WindowsVersion=Windows_11

Check the above link to do a reset.

NOTE: Make sure to backup all the data before the reset.

Hope it will help you in some way.

this is an old thread. Please open a new thread with your question. Don't forget to specify your model name. Example AN515-44-R99Q.
