Aspire 7, Dolby audio not working anymore: Aspire 7 A715G-71G-778R

A windows update broke my dolby audio pre-installed application.

Now it says that the speakers aren't plugged in: https://prnt.sc/k7zoag

    The reasons were more clearly-stated for earlier Windows versions. Not Win10 because its updates are different, esp major updates, which are almost like new Windows versions. They've created havoc in relatively new machines but that shipped with earlier major Win10update releases. Many of them are nearly like beta releases.  If it was my A715, I would first check for any rollback options in Device Manager. If none, I'd then uninstall the problem drivers, reboot and let Windows re-detect the hardware and auto install drivers. If still nothing, I'd then download and install the ACER drivers. If still nothing, i'd then rollback to the restore point and try to temporarily block the update and hope a future update, including those by ACER as well as Microsoft, will address the issues.     Most likely yes, there are several listed during the 12 July so it surely lives in that batch.
