Hello

I have an Acer Predator G3-710 with an i5-7400 and a GTX 1070. While performance is great and I'm really getting a kick out of this system so far; I would like to beef it up at some point. I know 8th gen CPU's are out of the question but I would like to know is what are the best upgrades possible for my model?

Thanks in advance!

    Hi,
You can upgrade your graphics to GTX1080, as for the CPU, in addition to what is in Compatible components link, you can also install a i7-7700k, i5-7600K,
you can also install a M.2 NVMe SSD as a boot drive up to 512GB maximum recommended by Acer but can be extended 1TB, I think.

I would recommend i7 7700, because the motherboard doesn't support overclocking.

As for GPU, any future GPUs will be compatible if they are able to fit in the case and the power supply is sufficient.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.

What could a guy use for a cpu cooler for the 7700k in this system?  Would the i5-7400 stock cooler suffice with the obvious inability to overclock?   I just purchased one from Amazon prime day deals at a really wicked price although I wanted a regular 7700 the k version was like $70 less than the stock 7700
