I just got this old ACER laptop for my little sister, since it is pre-loved, I made sure everything is working before buying it. When I got home, I had it formatted by my brother so there will be no undeleted files or even malware and spyware from the previous owner. We re-installed Windows 7. But now, we can't open the camera on its own without using a third party application like skype or fb messenger. I was able to see the camera on the Device manager but when I click it, it will only open its properties, of course, and it says that it is properly working. I searched my programs but there's nothing to open the camera on its own. We might have missed it when we reformat. What to do? Thanks

As long as you can see the camera in Device Manager without any red or yellow warning, then download, decompress and install viewplaycap from www.kkmoom.com/pc.rar . It's more versatile than the crystal eye software that originally came on the machine ----it's  probably still buried somewhere on the HDD.  Jack E/NJ
