METHODS LIKE

1) Hardware and Device troubleshooter.
Type: troubleshoot in the search bar and click Troubleshooting;
Go to Hardware and Sound > Hardware and Devices > Click on Advanced and check Apply repairs automatically;
Click Next and let the program check and fix existing problems in your drive > Click Apply this fix and click Next;
Click Enable, close Troubleshooter and restart your PC to keep all changes.

2) SFC Scan.
To run an SFC scan, follow these steps:
Run Command Prompt as Administrator.
Type sfc /scannow and hit Enter.

3) Refresh the USB drivers in device manager
Right-click on Windows logo > Select Device Manager;
Expand Universal Serial BUS controllers > Find the device with a yellow exclamation mark;
Right-click on it and select Update Driver Software... > Choose Search automatically for updated driver software;
If there is no new update, right-click and select Uninstall > OK;
Go to the Action tab in the Device Manager window > Select Scan for hardware changes > Then the USB port will appear.

Open Control Panel and choose Power Options.
On the sidebar on the left click Choose what the power button does.
Click Change settings that are currently unavailable.

    If you're sure they were working before, one of the best ways to rule in or rule out a hardware issue is to preferrably re-set to a factory fresh state. Or you can re-try refreshing the operating system while saving your personal files. Turn off all power to the machine. Then turn it back on and immediately press and hold the ALT key while tapping the F10 key. A recovery screen should appear as in the video below. Jack E/NJ

    No. You must reset, NOT format, the laptop by the ALT+F10 method explained above. https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/comment/582245/#Comment_582245
