I recently bought an Acer Spin 5 (SP515-51GN). Mainly to improve boot and run speed, i decided to add an additional SSD. But i have no previous experience or knowledge in this. Can i actually add an additional SSD to my laptop in addition to the HDD i currently have? If so what type SSD should i buy and how can i add it? After that since my OS is in my HDD, how can i move it to my SSD?

Hi, Yep... You can have SSD installed to your computer. The form factor of SSD is M.2 22 and the interface is PCIe Gen3 x4. The supported capacities are 128GB/256GB/512GB.

Before adding SSD, it is recommended to create USB Recovery Drive. Creating the USB Recovery Drive, will help you in reloading OS to the new installed SSD. Please follow the instructions in below website to create Windows 10 OS USB Recovery Drive.

    Would this do the job?

    Samsung 970 Evo Series - 250GB PCIE NVME - M.2 Internal SSD (MZ-V7E250BW)

And i have heard of cloning the OS from one drive to another. Can't i do it here (transferring OS from HDD to SSD) since i will keep my HDD intact?
