After I finish the installation, it shows no bootable device after it reboots. I tried many to add the efi boot file of ubuntu, but whenever I access the Hdd0 it has no ubuntu directory from where I can select the boot file.

It should work fine. Try to format/clean the disk first. Do you install from thumbdrive? Also try to install with no encryption - that could be one of many reasons.. also check sha1 or md5 of your image just to be sure..

You did not say what "this device" is, but if it is anything like my Swift 1, you won't see "Ubuntu" in the boot list as you should after it is all set up.  You will see initially at least two listings for Windows Boot Manager.  If so, select one of the Windows Boot Managers other than the current one, and see if that works.  That's what did it for me.  It should be called "Ubuntu," but somehow Insyde messes up the name, calling everything "Windows Boot Manager."  The actual Windows one is represented by a number in parenthesis following the "Windows Boot Manager" name.

After I boot the Ubuntu bootloader that is mistakenly named "Windows Boot Manager," the Insyde firmware changes the name of that boot option to a checkerboarded keyboard graphic character instead of "Windows Boot Manager" or "Ubuntu."  At first it looked like I was being given an opportunity to type a new name for the entry, but I couldn't do that.

This Swift is the first laptop I have owned with Insyde, and let me tell you, I am not impressed.  It's easily the worst firmware I've seen in any recent machine.  Still love my Swift despite this... other than the firmware, it's an outstanding little machine for the money, but really, Acer, please fix the firmware bugs!
