hello,

i bought acer helios 300 laptop and preferred it on other same spec. laptops because it is common that acer brand has a strong hardware, so you can use laptop for years with perfect usage, but my concern when i bought this laptop PH317 is the high temp.
on avg with ultra quality games and auto fan the temp. hits (82 - 95) degree Celsius
is this good temp. ? i cant imagine gaming laptop especially acer made laptop that the temp. can melt the cpu or gpu
and what about long term effect ! can this temp. range effect on the efficiency of cpu and gpu in long term
when i thought like this i regret to buy this laptop.

finally today my external fan will reach and i hope it will reduce temp about 10 degree but i still disturbed about this issue

I would suggest you to game on max fan, as auto fan changes speed according to temperature not load, so even if you use a cooling pad the temperature won't change much as the fans will just spin slower.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.

i try max fan the temp. decreased about 10 degree
but iam worry about long term effect on fan

You can also look to undervolting the CPU this will pull down the temperatures.  Check out the guides at the top of the forum.

my main question is the range above normal especially on long term?

If the average temperature doesn't go higher than 85C, that is normal and won't harm the CPU in a long term , but it is always better to undervolt to reduce the temps even further. Go to CPU undervolting section in this thread:

Long term would run down fans since all mechanical components are rated for certain amount of use before they could break down.

Try getting an external USB fan.
Also try using ThrottleStop. I reduced CPU temps by 0.125 (no other changes) (you could start from about 0.80 and up it in intervals of 10 until about .120 or .130) and this reduced my temps from your levels to about 60-75 while gaming the same game without ThrottleStop.

what is the negative effect for cpu undervolting ?

All CPUs manufactured are not equal. They work at voltages that vary slightly... some might work at a wee bit less than others. And this is what we are taking advantage of here. Manufacturer sets up at voltage needed on a product level, not individual item level. We use undervolting to determine how much we could safely undervolt, add some buffer to it, and set at that.

Mine could go to 0.140, but i set it at .125 to be on the safer side.
