No Speakers or headphones are plugged in Error Message
Hi everybody,
I fear the worse as I've done quite a bit to try fix it over the past couple of days. After a Windows 10 update, sound stopped working in the installed speakers, headphone jack, and even when I use my blue tooth headphones.
I've tried the following fixes:
1. I rolled back the system restore to a restore point when it still worked (e.g. rolling back the update), and still no luck, even tried an earlier point and no luck
2. I've un-installed/re-installed sound drivers in device manager (in device manager and playback device settings they keep appearing installed and fine), restarted and no luck
3. Tried installed the latest Realtek driver from Acer, and updating the driver, restart no luck
4. Tried un-installing and re-installing sound drivers from device manager again no luck
5. Tried disabling realtek device in device manager restarting and re-enabling no luck
6. Used a driver updater program to check for and install latest drivers - no luck7
7. Audio trouble shooter for speakers or bluetooth headset simply spins and then crashes
Frustrating thing, in device manager and playback device settings, when I check them, everything is supposedly working fine and enabled. But I still have the x saying No speakers or headphones are plugged in error message.
Looking forward to a solution. Thanks.
