Registered using: https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/register-product

And also one more doubt: "http://apn.acer.co.in/Rpt/EndCustomerRegistrationNew.aspx" is this a genuine link to register for warranty. I got this link when i googled using keyword "acer warranty registration india".

You don't have to register your product anywhere in order to activate the warranry. You can check your warranty status here by simply enterig the SNID number of the device.

The warranty is usually activated once the laptop comes out from the factory, so from this link it will be shown that your warranty will run out earlier. In order to update it you should contact acer and ask them to update your warrantt status, but you have to send them the proof of purchase(receipt) if they ask you to do so.

This website shows the international warranty status only.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.
