I recently bought a brand new Acer Swift 3 (not refurbished) off of Newegg and just received it yesterday. In the past 2 days I've had it, I've gotten 2 blue screens and multiple 2-3 minute freezes.
The first blue screen gave the error CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED and the second blue screen gave SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION. I tried a fresh install of windows and a bunch of "solutions" I found online but none have seemed to fix the issue. Any suggestions?

When a critical system process fails to run, the operating system will crash with a Critical Process Died Stop Error or Blue Screen displayed on your Windows computer.

    >>>Check and repair system file error
Run System File Checker in Windows  and type cmd in start search box. Right-click cmd and choose Run As Administrator.
At the command prompt, type sfc /scannow and hit Enter.
The SFC utility will run for a while and if any corruptions or errors are found, replace them on reboot.

    >>>To clean boot your Windows 10 computer, follow the steps given below:
Go to search bar and type System Configuration and press enter.
On the Services tab, select on Hide all Microsoft services check box and click Disable all and then click on an ok tab.
Again go to Startup tab and search Task Manager and to open click on it.
Now go to select all items and click on the Disable tab and close the task manager.
Now again go to start-up tab and type of the System Configuration dialog box, click on ok and restart your computer.

Also, try to install the latest display and chipset drivers.

If the same issue persists, you may contact Acer support in your region and check for other options to fix it.

With model SF314-52-517Z from Costco, I got the same error CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED after updated to v1803 recently when running Youtube or VLC Player, but without any issue when it under v1709 (OS Build 16299.431). Bios 1.08 & Device Manager all shows normal, any additional suggestions.

Don't update and wait for a decent fix from acer or windows. Problems with some drivers and other software in v1803. I think all the swift serie's are affected. Qualtity control of the 1803 was terrible, also other brands have a lot of problems with the update so purchasing another won't help. Or it would be a chromebook or apple :P

May 23, 2018—KB4100403 (OS Build 17134.81) fixed Intel SSD issue, which installed on my SF314-52-517Z, now my NB works normally for 1 week already.
