Acer Aspire V5-531 doesn't turn on!

My laptop doesn't turn on anymore. If I press the power button, nothing happens at all.

I thought the battery must be empty, but the light that usually goes on when I charge the laptop doesn't work either..

Has anyone experienced a similar problem? I have no idea what to do!

    Disconnect the charger, check for a Battery release latch at the bottom of the laptop. Insert a suitable tool and slide the Battery release latch to release the battery. Connect only the charger to another wall outlet, power On and check the laptop. Also, you can use a multi-meter/volt-meter and test voltage output of the  adapter to check if it is working.
