Acer Switch 3 - light is on but screen is staying black

I was using my switch 3 no problem a few days ago. Now after pulling it back out, I'll turn it on and the light will indicate its on (blue light) but the screen stays black. I've tried holding power button + volume up/volume down/both/ windows button but nothing has succeeded. A previous thread mentioned pushing a paper clip into a pinhole to reset the battery but I can find no such pinhole on my switch 3. Does anyone have any advice? I'd hate to send it back for warranty as I've only had it for a few months...

Hi,
Power off the tablet and remove the Key board from the tablet, Press and hold the power button for 10-30 Seconds,
Connect back the keyboard and power on the tablet.

Thanks for your comment AntoJoseph, I tried your method but had no success. Holding the power button for that long just makes the tablet turn off and then back on again. Is there anything else I can do or is this looking like a case of warranty woes...?

Another update: I plugged a external display into the switch 3 using a dongle into the USB c and low and behold I can access the computer... When I try and choose the option to stretch both displays etc my computer seems to force it to only display on the external monitor... Not sure if my screen is broken or what...0

I just had the same problem, had to send laptop for repair to Acer. They have changed "something" and are sending it back to me.0

Try to turn the displays on and off with the Fn+F6 and/or Fn+F5 toggle key combinations. Jack E/NJ
