Port Replicator/Docking solution

I am looking for a port replicator/docking solution for an E5-576G-5762. It's brand new and has the USB-C 3.1 port, which should be able to carry a display signal. My desk at work has a Dell WD15 docking station and I'd like to be able to plug right in and go (the whole point of a docking station, right?)... currently this is not plug and play. Is this a setting issue or a compatibility issue?

It should if the Dell is also the newer USB-C. Jack E/NJ

It is a brand new one and the dell latitude laptop, provided by work, works via the USB 3.1 Type C cable. Could there be a setting in the Aspire, that needs to be adjusted?

Open Device Mgr without the dock plugged in. Leave Device Mgr open. Now plug the dock in. Does Device Mgr autorefresh and display something new? If not, do you have any non-Microsoft antimalware or cryptoware running? Jack E/NJL
