Hi, As it is 3 months old unit, and the message "Plugged in. Not charging", indicates like hardware issue with charging unit in the laptop. Contact Acer Technical support for assistance.

    Hi,

You can try the below steps to resolve the issue. I dont think its an issue with adapter because the device detects as plugged in

re-install the battery drivers from device manager and restart the unit. post this try to perform BIOS defaults.

even after the above attempts the issue does not get resolved then you might have to contact acer support for help

Hi, @ heybody ..... The message "Plugged in. Not charging", clearly confirms that power is coming from adapter to the laptop. That is the reason, why unit says "Plugged in". As charging unit in laptop is not functioning, it says "Not charging". Hence, laptop has hardware issue.

    Hi,
You could try reinstalling the driver for Microsoft ACPI- Compliant Control method battery, go to Device manager, expand Batteries, go to Properties of Microsoft ACPI-Compliant control method battery, uninstall the driver in Driver tab, reboot and let Windows install the driver and see whether it fixes the problem.

    Hi,
OK, don't give up so early, it could be a minor glitch, have you tried a battery reset? If not give it a try( follow the instructions in the video), you could also do a manual calibration from the link below.
