Just want to ask what are some possible fix to my laptop that immediately shuts down whenever i remove the plug. It is working totally fine  when it is plugged in but i noticed that the battery status is on pluggin or charging but is stuck on 68%. Already had an experience before where the laptop completely froze and you just can't turn it off. it happened again today before experiencing this kind of problem.
Hoping for a feedback.

Please try performing a power reset. Disconnect the charger. Check for a battery reset PIN hole  at the bottom of the device. The reset hole would have a battery symbol next to it. Insert a paperclip into the hole and press for four seconds. Let the computer sit for 5 minutes with no power. Power ON and charge the battery, check the status.

If issue persists, open device manager click “Battery” and under Battery, please click “Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery”. Now, do a right click on it, then click “Uninstall”. Confirm that you would like to uninstall the Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery. After the uninstallation process, please restart your computer. As soon as you restart your computer, the Windows will automatically install the driver again. Please check your battery icon on the right bottom side of your Windows screen to see if it is charging.

Also, check if you have the latest BIOS update installed on your device.

    @Sharanji
Hi Sharanji thank you for your feedback, it means a lot to me. but i tried doing the battery reset pin way before and it was successful. i did it on the first freeze case of my laptop and before making this thread the same problem occurred that makes me think i did it the wrong way. The last time that i did it was i hold the power button while putting in a pin on the reset hole and it worked. But for my latest problem i really do think i did it in a wrong way wherein i just pressed it and i was not able to hold the power button.

This is the sample video that i record

I've heard sometimes you need to hold the power reset for a solid 40 seconds a total of 3-4 times for the battery to reset properly.

I had this issue a few times. I realized when I took off the door cover that gets you access to the SSD and RAM was not fully tightened. If you've opened it up before, go ahead and remove the door cover and tighten it again.

Never had the issue since. It feels like there's a sensor or something for when the cover is not fully sealed.

Look at the Acer Care Center, there's a battery health test under check up.

Hey Queen! I tried that earlier but that seems different from what he is referring to as acer battery application or software.
The results come out just fine, and nothing changed after that. Thank you for the response tho :) appreciate it man

    Hi all,

Always make sure HDD/RAM door is fully secured and the rubber plunger on the bottom of the door is properly installed.  The screws must be fully tightened.  If the chassis intrusion switch is not depressed that battery power is disabled.

    Thanks,

    Acer-Manny

Thanks Acer-Manny, I had the same problem with my new Predator after reading your post I gently tilted the keyboard up and pushed on the middle panel I heard a pop and then the battery gauge started moving, now its charging fine and I don't have to send it in

I'm gonna repeat my answer because for some reason I couldn't get out of quotes on my phone lol.

Go to Acers driver download page and get the Intel VGA driver and install it DONT uninstall previous version please...) if you get an error from nvidia then uninstall the nvidia GPU driver then reinstall the Acer Intel VGA driver.. 👌👍
