Changing display of E5 575G 50ZZ for better color accuracy and resolution?

Hello everyone,

I have E5-575G-50ZZ with HD display panel. 1366(RGB)×768 (WXGA)
(Side note: Everything is so good about this laptop and I love affordability, customer care, and quality of Acer. But just in 3 months I was almost going to buy other laptop because of display, but then I realised we can actually change it.)

On rear of display panel, model number is mentioned as BOE NT156WHM-N32 V8.0

Although it is glossy like Retina Display (that I love), but comparing to my latest iPad, I felt many details were missing, color accuracy is poor, gamma and contrast are never getting better.

So which display should I buy and replace? To gain most color accuracy, most resolution and most dpi? Viewing angle does not matter as I use my laptop alone.

( I guess they have eDP 2 lanes and FRC Grey mode that may make them incompatible with my laptop? )

The laptop have i5-7200U, Corsair 16GB Module DDR4 2133MHz Unbuffered CL15 SODIMM Dual Channel, Nvidia 940MX 2GB VRAM.

Hi,
I have used B156HAN01.2 and NV156FHM-N42, I like them both but the screens are personal choice, so I would suggest you to visit local store and do a visual comparison of different screens, if possible. If you ask my preference, I would go for LP156WF4-SPU1(this comes from another member's feedback), B156HAN01.1 or NV156FHM-N43, mainly for the makers, AUO and BOE produce good quality screens IMHO.

Thank you so much for that fast response! I will first try to visit Acer service center nearby and ask them if they can provide any of them, if not then will try manually and will report back here once done.
btw some of those mentioned screens like NV156FHM-N43 have eDP1.3 and eDP 2 Lanes, while current display have eDP1.2 and eDP 1 Lane,
so it won't make them incompatible with my laptop? Or the real factors are size, aspect ratio, input voltage for panel, signal interference (SI) category, SI pins, SI pin pitch, SI amount and gray method? SI Configuration also matters?

You are welcome, it may be backward compatible but I haven't tried, notice that in Samsung and LG screens it has not been mentioned, so it may not be that important.

For anyone looking for laptop screen, these are the things that really matters, it should match with your official or current working laptop display:
Screen Size, Aspect Ratio
Input Voltage for Panel
Signal Interference
Interface Type
Gray Method
Signal Interference Category
Signal Interference Pin
Signal Interference Pin Pitch
Signal Interference Amount
For case of my given laptop, Interface Type - 30 pins eDP (2 Lanes) , Connector, 6 bit Gray Method, 15.6", 1920×1080, 6-bit, eDP, 2D, WLED, Flat, LCM Hot Models, is what we require.
Best way is to, Visit Acer service centre (Official) and ask them to get display of higher end possible on your laptop, and they may provide you if available.

I have highlighted above text intentionally to get attention for anyone. After reading, studying, researching for these days I got the above mentioned info. My problem is solved. And thanks to @brummyfan2

Hi, Bringing up this old thread. I have this exact machine and just discovered that changing the screen is possible. Can someone help me understand if the above screen suggestions still hold good or if there are like newer screens with better specs that I can go with? Thanks
