I have an Aspire Switch 10 SW5-012.  I recently reverted to Windows 8.1 with Bing after an extensive search for the iso which I downloaded from a *****.  After the installation my touchscreen doesn't work and isn't shown in the HID device list.  None of the ports besides the charger are working.  I tried updating drivers from the Acer list that were available and also tried installing the patch.  The patch installation didn't work either.  Any suggestions?

It was originally Win 8.1 with Bing.  I did the Win 10 upgrade but all of the updates were taking up my storage.  I made a USB recovery with the file I downloaded from the *****.  My key worked to activate the installation.  I can't seem to find a driver to make the touchscreen and ports work.  I just tried the Intel Driver detector from the Intel website but it said nothing was available to update.  I've been messing with this for a couple weeks trying different suggestions I've found on here with no success.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If the hidden ACER Win8.1 recovery partition hasn't been deleted by the Win10 downgrade, you should be able to restore your machine to a factory-fresh Win8.1 state using the ALT+F10 cold boot recovery method. First, turn your machine completely off. Then turn it back on and immediately press and hold the ALT key while tapping the F10 key---don't wait for the ACER logo screen to appear. A Win8.1 recovery screen should appear. Then follow on-screen directions as in the video below to re-install the ACER-specific Win8.1 version with all the original ACER-specific drivers. Jack E/NJ

I tried this method and when I try to reset it's asking for the recovery media.  I must have deleted the original install.  I guess I'm SOL unless you have any other suggestions.  Thanks for your help.

You should still be able to get the recovery USB or DVD from the ACER store ~$45. Have your machine's serial number id (snid) ready. Jack E/NJ

I was hoping to avoid that cost but it may be my only option.  Thanks again.

One outside possibility, open Disk Management. What partitions do you see and how are they labelled? Jack E/NJ

This is what I have.  I was able to use the touchscreen in the BIOS but not in Windows.  The micro SD and headphone don't work at all.

I don't think either recovery partition is the original ACER-specific Win8.1 tied to your machine's serial no id (SNID). The smaller one is probably for Win10 recovery. And the larger now seems to be for a generic pro version of Win8.1 that has overwritten the original. Sorry, I still can't see a way out other than with the SNID recovery USB. Jack E/NJ
