If the Gskill RAM have the same specifications as those recommended by crucial dot com, then it should be OK. Jack E/NJ

This RAM module is compatible with your laptop, but it is likely that it won't work with the 4GB RAM module that is already inside the laptop, because the latencies won't match. Most likely the CAS latency of the 4GB RAM is 11 or 12, the RAM you want to add has 9. It is also likely that the system will boot after installing the Gskill, if it takes the 4gb ram as primary and increases the latency of the Gskill to match the latency of the 4GB, but that will kill the point of buying a low latency RAM.

Download HWiNFO and post the details of the 4GB ram that is inside the laptop.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.

This module matches the one inside your laptop.

The latency of the Gskill doesn't match with the latency of the 4GB module.
