Hello !
I have bsod repetition since late December but this increases with time, now the computer crashes 2-3 times a day and almost always with this code WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR
Driverscloud tells me that the source of the crash is pshed.dll
(I note in passing that the computer never restarts itself, I have to turn it off by pressing the power button.)
My drivers are up to date, anti-virus scan, antimalware ok, hard drive status checked and correct, ram ok.
Temperatures sometimes rise to 50 ° but not beyond.
Configuration: Acer Aspire ES1-111, Windows 10 64, Celeron N2840
I do not know what to do, it's a galère these stops in full work!
Thank you for your help !

Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds or until the the machine completely shuts off. Then turn the machine back on and immediately press and hold the ALT key while tapping the F10 key. Then follow the directions on this video for re-setting your machine to factory-fresh state. Jack E/NJ

Get all the latest updates with Windows Update. Go to Settings  > Update & security  > Windows Update, and then select Check for updates.

    Run Windows Memory Diagnostics

    1. To check the Hardware memory we need to go on the Start screen of Windows 10, Windows 8.1.
    2. Type in the search box Windows Memory Diagnostic.
    3. Click (left click) on Windows Memory Diagnostic.
    4. Let the Windows Memory Diagnostic run, if you get any stops along the way like in the hard drive check with errors then try to replace the memory.

Start Windows in Safe Mode and Check for Drivers

    1. Reboot or close the Windows 8.1, Windows 10 PC.
    2. When the PC starts press F8 on the keyboard or another combination would be Shift + F8.
    3. The Recovery Mode should start.
    4. From within the Recovery Mode you need to select Safe Mode by following the instructions on the screen.
    5. After the Computer boots up in Safe Mode, hover the mouse to the right side of the screen and click in the search box in the start menu.
    6. Type in the search box Device Manager
    7. After Device Manager is opened we need to update the drivers one by one. This way we will see if one of our drivers has caused this error to appear.
    8. After updating the drivers we need to reboot the PC.
    9. See if you get the same error message.
    10. Updating drivers manually is very annoying and can permanently damage your PC (by downloading the wrong driver versions).

    Hi Jack,
do not you think it's a bit radical?

Unless you've made any hardware changes, no. I suspect the issue is related to a win10update that happened in late Dec. Too late now to revert back to an update restore point since it's probably long gone by now. Might be due to generic Win10 driver updates that don't play well with the hardware in your system. If your system had ACER factory-installed Win10, a reset should quickly get you back. At least temporarily until the offending update is installed again at which time you could take immediate action from a restore point. You could however try to walk your way thru installing the ACER-specific Win10 drivers from here https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/support-product/5608?b=1 Possibly starting with the video driver to see how it goes.   Jack E/NJ

Yes use the Windows 10 media creation tool found here https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10   If you have to create the USB installation stick on another PC, make sure you click on the appropriate choice. Your ES1-111 has the appropriate Windows license embedded in it's motherboard so you should be able to use a brand new HDD just fine. Jack E/NJ

Yes but only for those devices that you might be having issues with. Don't install any drivers for devices that are already working properly. Jack E/NJ
