Hello guys can I use liquid metal thermal paste on this laptop.

    Hi you're going to repaste your gpu yourself? I wont recommend you doing that bro if your unit is still in warranty, repasting wont do a huge effect in reducing heat in your gpu.

    You can get good results, personally I would opt for an electrically inert TIM.  The OEM TIM is actually ok, as it's designed for longevity over performance.  Personally I prefer to undervolt the CPU first, when it comes time to clean the cooling system I may replace the TIM.  That said as long a the operating temperature is good, like as not I'll leave things be.  Right now in real world use my Predator 17 will peak at 85C and mostly averages 75C under heavy load.  Sure brutal synthetic stress tests such as Prime95 Small FFT will easily send the CPU past 90C, equally no throttling thx to ThrottleStop 8.50

    Repasting had a huge effect on my laptop. It decreased my temperature from 99C to 80C during hard gaming. I highly recommend it. Use MX4 paste, I came to do conclusion that it is the most efficient.
