I've installed my new SSD and I've migrated my OS to the new SSD and it is there.  I can see the drive and access it through "This Computer"  Everything that is on my C Drive is also on my new SSD or "D"Drive.  However, when I go into my bios, there is no option to have me boot to the ssd.  I go to boot order and the new drive isn't listed.    What did I miss.  I want to keep the original 1 TB HDD for storage and just start up off my ssd.  This is driving me nuts!   I'm not a computer genius but generally I can figure these things out.  I've installed 8more Gig or ram and a new 1 Gig Video Card.   Installed the new SSD and migrated the cd drive to it but just cant seem to get it to recognize it and boot from it.

"...I'm not a computer genius..." either, but since you haven't had answers yet, I did notice something in your post.

Shouldn't your main drive (primary drive) which is now the SSD be the 'C' drive, and your old 1tb HDD be 'D'?

Thanks for taking the time to respond.  Several people I have spoken with and some tutorial videos have all said that doesn't make any difference.  My Bios SHOULD recognize my drive and enable me to select a Boot Order.     My question for you.  With a screen name of Xanadu, are you a RUSH fan or a fan of the Movie or an Olivia Newton John fan?  :)

Chances are the drive hasn't been setup correctly for booting. How did you migrate the OS to it?

Thank you.  I've resolved this issue.  A Techie friend said there are several ways of doing it but my bios should be able to allow me to choose if I want to book off c, d or a removable disc or optical drive.  But, Xanadu's option is semi correct.  I reversed the connection and turned it into C drive and it works.  It should HAVE TO be "c" drive to work though.  Thanks Everyone especially Xanadu!

Likely not a C vs D thing, more a 1st vs 2nd drive on the SATA bus thing.
