I have recently bought an Acer A3 - A315-31-C6SX. It came with a 2GBDDR3 Ram. It is slower than my 12 year old Samsung. can I upgrade my Ram???? or is there some other way to speed it up?? It's not very impressive... Very frustrating

Hi,
Your model comes with a 4GB on-board memory(it's soldered on the motherboard), there are no slots for upgrading memory, so I would suggest you to install a M.2 SATA SSD, transfer the OS to it and use the HDD for additional storage, that will speed up the system immensely.

Thanks for your reply!! But according to the specs on this model I only have 2GB DDR3 memory, not 4GB. Can i put the other 2 GB on the motherboard additionally or do i need to change it out and put in 4?0

Normally it comes with 4GB memory but it's very rare for 2GB in laptops, where did you buy the laptop? It could be due to the region you are in but I can not confirm. The memory in these models are soldered and can not be upgraded. You can get the confirmation from the retailer or Acer Support centre in your region.
