Display driver being pushed by Windows Update requires rolling back the driver. Right click Start to open Device Manager, choose Display device, then Driver tab, then Roll back.
If there is no Roll Back or that doesn't help choose Update Driver on Display device Driver tab, then Browse Computer, then Let Me Pick to see a list of all previously installed Display drivers, work backwards trying each to find one that works.

have a spin 515  and this thing is unable to bring a hdmi signal.. this is *****... have installed old drivers as described, from exe and zips files from intel uhd 620 driver page.. and nothing goes on.. that laptop is a mess in HDMI behaviour...
    1. acer was unable to follow the specs from intel?
    2. why is the nvidia card not able to be default (even no bios option) and  pushing hdmi?
    3. i heard of hdmi problems occured since windows 10 creators update (VR introduction) BUT rollback drivers to older one , tested unsuccessfully
    4. acer soin 515 using a ACER VR headset gives you two usb ports on the same side where hdmi is placed, left side of laptop..because of length of splitted cables... one usb port is used in my case by logitech mouse and other one for powering usb .. was not able to power ACER headset
