Decided to upgrade my tablet to something larger and pass on the 8W1-810. Decided to do a factory reset which seemed OK but no touch screen. Rebooted with hub and mouse, finished loading Windows then looked in device manager, no touch screen hardware and no network hardware!  Looked for Ghosting, nothing, went into legacy no joy. Is this a Windows 10 problem or an Acer factory reset problem?

Have you run Windows Update ? May also need to load the Acer drivers at https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/support-product/5735?b=1. Are there any problems shown in Device Manager ?

No network. Can I run an off line update from USB stick? The message  I get from device is ' No network hardware detected'

In Device Manager>View click on "Show Hidden Devices". Does the network adapter show up ? Is there an error code under Device Status  ?

Can run the update locally or from a USB stick.

No network shows up in hidden devices, No touch screen shows up. No error code in device status, only network device not detected, if I load the intel R network adapter from legacy then I get an error code 31. Tried loading  drivers from Acer from my usb but can't run setup. I only get empty files. Tried to run off line update but no joy, seems like I need to run wifi to get the off line update to run. I think it's ready for the dustbin!

Sounds like you have a hardware or cabling fault if there is nothing in "hidden devices". Have you tried downloading the driver on a flash drive and transferring that way ? Only other thought is that Amazon has USB wireless adaptors for under $10.
