Hello all,

I have this product -  https://www.amazon.co.uk/Acer-Predator-Helios-GeForce-Keyboard/dp/B06Y4GZS9C/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1521985696&sr=8-1&keywords=predator+helios+300

It comes with an SSD of 256GB and I am new to understanding computer hardware specs but I have two questions:

1. I know that there is a slot for an additional disk in one of the easily accessible slots on the back (the other one is for the RAM). However, can the internal SSD be replaced with  higher capacity (higher than the 256gb one it comes with) ?

2. Can that same SSD be replaced with another type such as  M.2 NVMe ? (I believe the one it came with is SATA)

Please do share if I don't understand something, I figured I would ask as Acer/model-specific questions are most suitable here :).

Thanks in advance.

Yes you may replace it with a higher capacity m.2 2280 NVMe. You may also install a 2.5" SSD. Jack E/NJ

    Thanks for your response.

To confirm, we are talking about the drive that is accessed through unscrewing and removing the whole bottom, right ?  Because I am not talking about the the one easily accessible in one of the two bays (the other one being for RAM) that only require their own bay cover to be unscrewed and removed.

So basically, I can put higher capacity m.2 2280 NVMe (even though my came with I believe SATA )  right here in the red circle:

And in the blue circle is my additional hard disk that can be HDD/SSD/SSHD   ?

    Thanks again.

Yes. But you need a SATA cable for the 2.5" drive for the motherboard connector on the upper left. ACER may supply this and a bracket for free if you're still under warranty. I usually use antistat foam instead of a bracket to immobilize the extra drive. Jack E/NJ
