Acer C740 Chromebook:  Need fix for cursor jumping from mid-screen to edges. Issue happens when logged into an account and before logging into an account.
Workaround is to connect an external mouse to avoid using the trackpad. Has anyone experienced and fixed this issue? Thanks.

OK. Google "c740 disassembly trackpad" . Try re-seating it a few times to clean and tighten the connector to the mainboard. Jack E/NJ

Have you tried a Chrome powerwash/reset yet? Jack E/NJ

Try power drain, if that didn't work then do a complete power wash.

Powerwash/reset did not work. will try the power drain followed by power wash.

Also take a look at your trackpad, if the battery is bulging slightly it can press on the pad giving false touches.

Pulled battery, plugged in power adapter. Cursor still jumping so battery bulge is not the issue.
    Thanks for the suggestion.
