Displaylink usb 3.0 monitor not working with R11 chromebook

When I plug my USB monitor (Asus MB168) into the R11's usb 3 socket, nothing happens.  Display is not powered on, and not recognised by Chromebook.  Works with other laptops and chromebooks, and displaylink drivers are supposed to be bundled in latest ChromeOS builds.

Any ideas?

Driver may be corrupt. Have you tried a powerwash yet? Jack E/NJ

    Thanks for the suggestion, Jack.

I've tried powerwashing, and I've tried stable, beta and developer channels.  It doesn't work on any of them.

I've also checked the USB 3.0 port - a 3.0 flash drive works perfectly, and I can connect to and charge my 'phone from it.

If you haven't done so already, you might try deleting the bundled driver and installing the latest ASUS version alone to see if it detects any issues. Jack E/NJ
