Hi all,

Was really excited about this investment - working away a lot i intended to use it for gaming on the road.

Now it has a hefty price tag, and specification to match. I really don't like sending things back, especially to amazon, I had to return the first one as the rubber which protects the screen when it is closed wasn't glued properly at the top (in hindsight I should have kept it) but at this price expect a certain level of QC. Replacement has just arrived, but check out this light-bleed, it's pretty bad in opinion. What do you guys think, is this normal?

     Yup looks bad.
I hope it is specific to this laptop and not the case for this model.
    Hope that helped you.

I can confirm that mine does not have this problem (bought end of Jan 2018). It was pretty much the first thing I checked when I received it as it would drive mad. To be honest, I don't see any light bleed at all on mine, it is extremely uniform across the display area, and at all contrast/brightness levels - the screen is very impressive (but is definitely more on the blue side of RGB scale, which can be easily adjusted).

Out of interest, I have also seen that the Gigabyte Aero 15x can also significantly suffer from light bleed - even worse than the image that you posted of your 700. I mention this as this was the model that I was choosing between at the time.

I would definitely send that back.
