as there is no support for Windows7 .... you should use Linux

The Fans are handled by Predator Sense and the Intel Graphics drivers I think.

Hi, Im new here and I have this PREDATOR  Notebook same as yours and Im just hooked on Win 7 Pro 64bit. Until its just impossible I will continue forward with Win 7 Pro. The last desktop I built was almost a year ago (specs below) and I run Win 7 Pro 64bit on it as well. My point is, Im committed to using Win 7. Please give me some info about how you went about getting the Laptop to run Win 7, or any conclusions you may have reached. I appreciate any info you have to offer.

    Thank you for your time.

One of the problems you may have issues with moving to Win 7 is not having the proper drivers, I looked up your laptop and Acer only seems to have drivers for Win 10 for that machine. Why not just use Win 10 on laptop and keep 7 Pro on your desktop?

Yes, thats what I thought too. Then I found a page on ACER's website that says most all of the drivers are backwards compatable with Win 8 , 8.1 and Win 7 .  Thats why I posted here, I had hoped to hear from  "skyrus" because he too was determined to use Win 7.  If it works out there is no way to use Win 7, then I will use Win 10.  Im not ready to give up just yet. Thank you for your time. :-)

Oh okay I didn't realize that they were backwards compatible, thanks for the heads up
