Hello

I have several issues, hope someone can help
Sorry about my English

PROBLEM A)
Why do I need to press the keyboard twice to getting it back on from sleep?
When I press the keyboard once it lights up but there's no screen, I press again and screen turns on.
Is like if the laptop turns on except the screen
Why?, is there something wrong or is this normal? it doesn't make sense

My previous Gateway laptop just required one key press.

PROBLEM B )
For this I'm really worried, after turning the laptop on from sleeping, then pass the Lock screen, if I do nothing it gets back to sleep after for like 3 or 4 minutes
Why??, and is not always, so not sure what's happening, I always use AC connection, I've checked and the AC icon(connected) is showing on the battery icon so is not as if is not recognizing the connection.
Also it doesn't make sense because I have settings for sleeping after 10mins on battery but when the problem happens takes like 3mins, not 10, so it can't be the settings. On AC I have it set on 5hous.

PROBLEM C)
Sometimes, more often now, the sound starts to sound with a "clipping" noise, like when the volume maxes out the speakers but in this case even at low volume.
I've noticed it when it disconnects or reconnects to the Wii Fi or Internet but not sure if is related or just coincidence.
The problem are not the speakers because the "faulty connection" or "clipping" noise is also present on earphones.

PROBLEM D)
Sometimes, when I turn it back on from sleep, the volume is at 100% ¿¿¿???

Thank you for your help

    a) I believe it requires 2 taps because the keyboard itself turns off. So, the first tap is to resume the keyboard, the second resumes Windows. I believe this is to save possible battery when not on AC because of the lights. They did not differentiate functions between whether it is plugged in or not.
    b) This time is set in the registry called the Screen Idle time. Power options do not change this value.
    c) This could be a multitude of things. I would first try uninstalling and reinstalling the audio driver from Acer, and updating the Wireless drivers via Device Manager.
    d) Not a clue. Looking on Google, I've found these instructions for a possible fix:
    1. Start Menu, type Sound and open the Sound window.
    2. Navigate to Playback > Speakers > Properties.
    3. Under the Enhancement tab, Disable all sound effects (uncheck Immediate Mode if its an option.

    A) I see, but it doesn't make sense to have the option to resume just the keyboard with no PC, that's why it confuses me and makes me wonder if something is wrong. It would make sense if it needed 2 taps to resume anything.

So, is it normal for this Laptop?

B ) Hmm, ok, it also doesn't make sense if this is normal, but I'll check it out

I've updated all drivers with Driver Boost 5 and haven't heard the sound issue yet

    I'll check and get back

I think it is normal for the double tap, it has done it on my laptop since I have gotten it.

Remember the audio drivers for these laptop have special Dolby functions, and they will only be on the laptop if you use the audio driver from Acer's web site. Concerning most other drivers, Windows does that by itself and it is best to let Windows do the updating. Using third party applications could install the incorrect drivers for your hardware.
