Does anyone know if and when they will put out drivers that will work with this update. Currently i run version 1607 of windows 10 and everything is fine, but windows keeps trying to download the creator update over and over again and fails due to some driver issue i guess. It never says why it fails. But in order for me to get windows back i have to hard reboot the system.
i really dont want to have to go out and buy a new computer just because the new windows wont work with my computer.

Acer not supporting and it not being able to run Windows 10 are not the same thing. It just means you are on your own for finding drivers that work. My aunchient AO1 532h is happily running 1709 just not very fast.

How much free disk space do you have ? In general people have issues when free disk space drops under about 20GB.

i have over 36 gigs free. i had read that if you had less then 20 it would cause issues. No its just a driver issue somewhere i just dont know what driver as none of them show errors. and windows update gives no errors when it hangs other then it couldnt restart on the second try. also i have tried using the windows installer troubleshooter with no errors found.

Every Windows update has an associate KB file that give access to the executable file. I have had to use that for an update before. Have also had to clear out all remnants of failed updates before.

I have an ACER AM3970 desktop, which is not on the ACER Windows 10 tested list.  I've been running Windows 10 on it for a couple years.

I'm not sure where in the process your's is failing but I wanted to share what the fix was for me.  I've tried to update to 1709 Creator about 10 times (actually I had no choice as Windows would eventually just do it) and every time it would fail.  I tried many different things which never worked.  Most recently it was hanging at 82%.  After some searching I found a post that saved the day.

Turns out the wi-fi card in the desktop (Anatel  PCI-E Wlan) was causing the issue all along.  I pulled the card and the update went right through.  Made my day!  Below is the link to the post, and about two-thirds of the way down is a post from "Bobroth1951".  Many people were successful once they removed the wireless card.  Hopefully this will help others get past this frustrating situation.
