Can someone help me or do I have to revert back to an earlier version?

You're talking about 1709 Creator's Update which is not support for Gateway DX4860. There are ways to do this but I recommend staying where you're. To revert Windows:

Having opened the Settings panel, click on updates and security and here select Recovery settings.

Next click on the Get started button under Go back to an earlier build section.

The process will start, and you will be asked some questions for information purposes, as to why you are going back to the previous build of Windows 10.

Worked for me as well ( Physically remove the Card) as posted by HockeyNight.    Done this with success on several Gateway desktops.
