i plan to buy a M.2 ssd and i wanted to know if the samsung 960 evo is good or is compatible with acer predator 15 G9-593-71GL

Hi,
Yes, it may have been a different MB, you can check whether the M.2 SSD capable of NVMe SSD, install HWiNFO64 program, run it, expand Bus, expand PCI Bus, expand all the PCI Express Root Ports and check the Maximum Link Width value in the right panel, if you find them to be either 2x or 4x, you have NVMe capable slot.

m7ammeed if one of the slots support pcie 4x yes it should support any nvme up to 2tb without any issues the other will only support sata
