Audio Problem

Hello,

Just yesterday I received my Acer Spin 5 SP513-52N and it is amazing, except for the audio issue I have come across. When I start up my computer and begin listening to audio, everything is fine, but after roughly 20 minutes my computer starts making crackling sounds. The crackling sounds get as loud as the audio is playing and a quick restart will temporarily resolve the problem, but eventually it will start up again.

I`ve tried troubleshooting, turning Dolby Audio on and off, updating the drivers but nothing seems to be working. Does anyone have a clue as to how I can fix this?

I would suggest you to update the BIOS to latest version. Download BIOS 1.02v here. Extract the file inside the archive and run it. Before executing the installation make sure the battery is fully charged and laptop connected to AC. The system may restart several times during the installation. Don't turn it off until the installation is completed.

If updating the BIOS doesn't help, contact your retailer and ask for a replacement.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.

I have the same exact issue with my nitro 5 spin which i just received. Been having constant problems with this laptop, i turned it in for repair as my laptop has a faulty pixel but they couldnt find it so sent it back after a month. Now my audio when using an audio jack is causing crackling and stutter.

To fix the issue a bit more but still having crackling results but not as frequent, disable DOLBY audio enhancements by going to
    -Play Back devices
    -Right click on the speaker
    -Properties
    -DOLBY AUDIO
    -Turn OFF

This hasnt full fixed the issue. has anyone found a solution yet?
