So I just bought this laptop and I am sort of a noob when it comes to knowing stuff related to drivers, bios, etc. I bought this off Amazon and saw a lot of reviews claiming that you have to update a lot of drivers and bios before this is usable. I got really sacred upon reading this as I have bought this laptop in India where the international warranty does not apply and I am afraid of something going wrong with my laptop if I click or update any bios wrongly. I would very much appreciate if someone could guide me or link a guide that explains the whole process of starting with this laptop so I could start using it for Gaming purposes. Thanks a Ton!!

Edit : I only know how to update the nvidia drivers through geForce program. Nothing else.

Updating the BIOS isn't something you should worry about. You just run the .exe file and wait for the system to finish the installation. To reduce the risk of something unexpected happening, unplug every single USB or any other device that is connected to the laptop. Make sure before executing the installation, that the battery is fully charged and laptop connected to AC adapter(charger). During the installation don't unplug the charger and be careful not to unplug it accidentally. The system may restart several times. By any means don't attempt to turn it off, while the installation isn't completed.

The latest BIOS can be downloaded here. It is located under BIOS/Firmware. The version you should download is 1.13. The executable(.exe) file is archived, so you have to extract it first.

I suggest you from the same driver page to update the 'VGA driver' from Intel. It is located under the 'Driver' dropdown.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.

Thanks a lot. Just on a side note : Should I update the Nvidia drivers from GeForce Experience or directly from their site?
