Hey
Is there a stylus with pressure sensitivity that would work with my Acer SP513-51? Is there any update to this subject (anyone tried different stylus options, some way to confirm 100% one way or another, etc.)? If more info is needed on my model, serial number, specs, etc. I will give them if I can.

I would really appreciate an answer, since I recently bought this laptop for the sole purpose of using it for graphic design and illustration. Since I hadn't owned a touch screen device before, outside of a smartphone, it didn't even occur to me that such stylus might not be available for my laptop.

I am aware that a conversation on the subject took place on December 2016. I can't post links but if you search for "Can I use a pen or stylus with Acer Spin 5?" in the community search bar you should find it.

Thank you for your time.

No direct experience with this particular model. But if it were mine, I'd probably take the machine up to the local BestBuy's stylus section and test drive a few. 8^)  Jack E/NJ

Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately I can't do exactly as you suggest since there are no BestBuy's where I live, but I'll try your suggestion in a similar store.

Do pressure sensitive stylus/pens usually work without installation? I was under the impression that they do not.

You can download installation software for most pressure sensitive pens like ACER active that you might be interested and have them at the ready for a test drive. Staples, Walmart and some Targets also have them. Jack E/NJ

Hi! I am looking at purchasing a stylus for my Acer Spin SP513-31. Did you ever find one that was compatible with yours?

I just bought an Acer Spin 5 (SP515-51GN), and I am having a problem finding a stylus for this purpose as well.

I got a Bamboo Ink Stylus pen from Best Buy, however, I did not realize this computer (or any Acer computer) would not support the driver for the stylus. So while pen pressure works just fine in Windows Ink apps, it does not in Photoshop or anywhere else.

There's the Acer Active Stylus, but I do not know if this stylus is good for drawing.

May end up returning this computer and shelling out a couple more hundred dollars to get a Lenovo.

Or, before you shell out a couple more hundred, exchange a Bamboo for an Active and see if it's good for drawing. 8^) Jack E/NJ

Recently I've purchased a Spin SP314-51 and a stylus pen STY1A.016: what software shall I install to use the stylus I've purchased?
    Thank you

I don't see your model listed here for an active stylus https://us.answers.acer.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/42675
One of  the apps would be called ACER Hover Access.if it's compatible.
Search your Windows start menu for Acer  hover access. It might be installed already.
