Anyone had problems with power?

i have an Aspire MA50 that has stopped recognising it is plugged in via the mains adapted. It was fine when last used but now it has just about run the battery down and is about to die, despite being connected to the mains. I changed to mains power fuse hoping that might be it and then purchased a new power pack when the fuse change did not work. Still no joy. My next guess was maybe battery but as it does not register the mains supply I am thinking it's maybe something else.
Any my suggestion or advice will be appreciated.

Hi,
Could you please try these one by one and hopefully one of the fix might work.
1.Try a battery reset, switch off the laptop, disconnect from mains and follow the instructions in the video, once completed leave the laptop to rest for 15-20 Mins.

2. Go to Device manager, expand Batteries, highlight and right click Microsoft ACPI-Compliant method Batteries, click Properties and go to Driver tab, uninstall the driver and reboot to let Windows install the driver.
