My Acer Icona won't boot up.

I've had my Acer Icona for a couple years now and love it, but a couple of months ago I turned it on and it wouldn't boot, just sat there for over an hour on the boot screen.  I tried the power- volume down button and the power-volume up buttons but it still just stays at the boot screen. I've connected to my main computer and tried the same process without success.   I've put it on the charger overnight to make sure it's charged and tried all the steps again, no luck.

Anyone have any suggestions?  And if this tablet has bitten the dust, what's the best way to wipe it?

My wifes B1-810 did the same thing a month ago...seemed DEAD DEAD DEAD. She claimed it was charged but..nothing, with all the fixers listed "button pushings"..I put it in a drawer and left if for a couple of weeks, in the meantime, she picked up a Fire7 tab on BF sales for <$25 and its working fine for her. A couple of weeks later, I pulled the Acer out of the drawer, plugged it in to charger, gave it a couple of minutes then powered up...It worked but battery power showed 1% !!!!
Turns out all the button pushing in the world doesnt work when she let the battery go to ZERO. 😟😫

My acer Iconia (2013) hasn't turned on in 8 months now, and I have 0 clues as far as what to do with it, I was wondering if there is a tutorial as to how to properly disassemble it. I was hoping to re-purpose it into either an automatic fridge door screen menu, or in to a layout for a bluetooth speaker.

    Hi Cxlvin,

    Reset the device,

    Starting at the Home screen,

bring up the Apps list and choose “Settings” > “Backup & reset” > “Factory data reset” > “Reset tablet” > “Erase Everything“.

    OR

    Reset in this way,
    1. With the tablet powered off, press and hold the “Volume Up” button.
    2. Press the “Power” button for about 2 seconds to turn the tablet on, then release it. Continue to hold “Volume Up“.
    3. When you see the recovery menu on the screen, release the “Volume Up” button.
    4. Use the volume buttons to toggle the selection to highlight “Wipe Data/Factory Reset“.
    5. Press “Power” to choose the selection.
