I have the Aspire R. Over the past month the touch screen has gone wonky. This is not associated with the driver issue. While I'm working, the touch screen suddenly acts as if I'm touching it when I'm not. The cursor flies all over the screen. Menus open, things get resized, closed, etc. So far the only option I have is to turn off the HID Touch Screen driver. My laptop is only a little over a year old. I looked online and other manufacturers have this issue if they are using an LG panel, but the Acer uses a AUO Optronics panel. Any suggestions on how to fix the issue?

I am having the same issue. I have not found a fix for it yet other than turning off the touch screen every time i turn the computer on
