try a DP cable too by the way, on all the pictures i can find, there are 2 HDMI port, one near the USB ports (this will not work) and another below near the DP port and it's on the GPU card.

if you model has an additional GPU card, you need to plug the HDMI cable to the GPU (it's below the standard HDMI port) not to the mainboard HDMI port.

It's an off the shelf Predator, Single HDMI port and a single DP port.

Acer Predator G3-710 Kaby Lake 128GB Desktop

    ·         Intel Core i7 quad-core processor

    ·         16GB RAM for high-level processing power.

    ·         128GB SSD

    ·         2TB hard drive

    ·         Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 video card (with 6GB video RAM)

The monitor has a screen message "Connect HDMI Cable"
