Aspire VN7-793G-71AG How can I change from EndlessOS to Ubuntu and/or Win 7

I am very unsatisfied with EndlessOS as it is awful.  I bought the computer because its price, configuration were nice (and my old netbook died from defective external hardware): i7700HQ processor, 1060 6Gb, 1Tb HDD and 8Gb so-dimm ram for a reasonable amount of money (sadly, no built in DVD/CD drive).  The OS by name was not mentioned directly on the website I purchased it from.  (What I've written here is going on Amazon, as well.)

The OS is slow, updated poorly, not very well supported.  I've had the notebook since April 2017.  Opening up LibreOffice should not take so long to open up and use, same with Steam, MusicBox, Chrome, Gimp, VLC Player, Skype and even Firefox.  Updates: one gets a pop-up informing of updates but when one actually tries to update-it fails and always get "Unable to Update 'Foo' ".  The fonts in the top tabs are also often illegible in the Apps program.  Not well supported: the distribution is based off of Flatpack and there are not many programs that are of use to me or developers for it.  The netbook has Tobii but that is not supported by EndlessOS so, wasted feature.....(not that I planned to use it though)

I have a Win 7 iso that I have mounted to a USB drive.  Every time I try to load it while the computer boots, I can never find it.  I disabled Secure Boot in the BIOS.  I changed the order of Boot up locations to see if that helped.  I tried using F10 and F12 to show me bootable locations but only my HHD is listed.  I have a Win 7 Ultimate Launch disk with code I never used (even with all of the "party supplies" still unused).  I also, have the patch that bypasses WIN 7s cpu check.
If I can get help going in this direction, that would be GREAT!!!

Going to Win 10............................., not with all of the BS attached to the OS.  NEXT!!!

If not then, what would be the best way to get Ubuntu 17.10 on my machine?

Things to note:
Right now, I do not have access to a computer with Win 7 or 10 at the moment.  I do have a Mac 2011 that I rarely use.

to be able to install windows 7, you must have the option to set Legacy or LauncCSM on BIOS but your mode lack this option.
you can install Ubuntu x64 creating an USB flash drive with GPT partition scheme and FAT32 formatted or windows 8.1
    I'm not an Acer employee.

I will test out Ubuntu 17.10 shortly.  It is so nice to see an .EFI partition show up on my Thumb Drive when the image was mounted.

I am just looking around the net to see if the process is problem free or it's anything like the stuff going on with Lenovo products....and then installing Ubuntu(and run with it...... till I get a win8 license and maybe run both.  :)  )

I'll status update in a few days.  Have to make sure all the usable data is backed up first.....
