If so, I've got some questions for you (because there are rumors that it's slightly different than the 14"):
  1. Did you break anything while opening it?
  2. Is there an open memory slot?
  3. What's the stock memory configuration? (4GB in 2 slots, 8GB in one slot, 8GB soldered to the board?)
  4. Is there a 2.5" SATA hard drive space?

All DDR4 is soldered to the mainboards which come in 4GB, 8GB & 16GB flavors.

I'm confused, because when I called Acer, they said the SF315 has memory slots.

Technically yes --- two solderable DDR4 memory slots. Unless they were referring to the m.2 slot. Another possibility is that a regional office or distributor might've decided to solder a DDR4 receptacle to one of the slots to extend the machine's functionality/marketability in your local market. Bump.

Anyone have cracked open their laptop yet?
I just had a live chat with Acer Customer service, and that person confirmed that the laptop can take up to 16GB of RAM, and has an empty 2.5 hdd slot, being able to take up to a 2TB drive.
