Hi, I'm using Predator Helios 300 and recently updated BIOS to 1.10. I noticed a lot of problems after update:
1. The Laptop runs very hot. after boot up to Desktop, the fans is very loud for about 1 minute, which DOES NOT happen prior to the bios update.
2.  Laptop performance is noticeably worse after update. When I'm scrolling through websites in Google Chrome, frame drops happen quite often. It used to be smooth with rarely frame drops. It's also very laggy when I drag to change the column size when using File Explorer or Task Manager.
3. I experienced stuttering whenever I open some programs such as Google Chrome, Battle.net, Visual studio code, which again, does not happen prior to the update.

please help :(

Oh no I can understand your frustration I had a problem with my laptop too. I guess you should call the service center hotline, they are generally quite helpful and knowledgeable and will tell you certain steps you could do by yourself. Otherwise they might request that you send it in for repair.

If the BIOS is the culprit of this issue, you can wait until a new BIOS is released, or contact Acer and request your device to be serviced.

Before that you can go to device manager>system devices and try to roll back Intel Management Interface.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.

Acer might not be aware of the issue yet, so I would suggest you to contact Acer in your region and explain the situation to them.
